After around 8-9 years I re-start my dusty Nintendo Wii, I don’t remember it ever being any less exciting and competitive.
It brought back great memories, seeing my mii character in the pink outfit and wild long hair and off course that it was yet at the PRO level I left it at. Tennis had always been my favourite game on the Wii sports disc. I was almost too confident and excited to start playing it, little did I know the no practise for all those years made me terrible at it, but after 3 games it started getting better (thank god). The next game I decide to play, with my sister, was boxing. Whats great about the Wii is that its multiplayer and if you have a chance to box your sibling you don’t miss out on it. Just a minute and half into the game the both of us were panting and struggling to keep our arms in position. It was almost humiliating to see we have not enough energy to play a kids boxing game, really felt old. Mario Kart was next on our list. We had the additional wheel accessory to the Wii remotes, since I believe I’m a good driver on the roads in reality, I thought Mario Kart would be a win for me, since my sisters just 16 and doesn’t know how to drive. But those icy roads and rainbow paths they’re no child’s game I land up coming second last but I beat my sister who came last.
I definitely will try playing the Wii often now with my family and friends, overall it encompassed so much laughter along with little abusing. Janaiya, you’re so on for the next boxing match we have.
